I'm a passionate C# .NET developer who loves his job. I'm constantly looking for ways to improve myself on both personal and technical fronts, and trying to keep up with the latest in techniques and certifications.
Since my graduation in February 2011, I have been working with several .NET-based techniques like DotNetNuke, WPF, MVC and Sitecore. Focussing mainly on web development, I enjoy working with Sitecore most for it's endless possibilities and versatility.
To keep my knowledge up to date I've taken several Microsoft exams. This has resulted in being a Certified Ethical Hacker, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer and a Sitecore Certified developer.
Having worked alone and in several (multi disciplined) scrum teams, I prefer working in teams because sharing knowledge leads to better products and new insights, and I feel that you can learn something new everyday, as long as you're surrounded with experts who are willing to learn.
I've joined a.s.r. as support in their System Team. This team supports other teams within
a.s.r. with their Sitecore website and API onboarding in Microsoft API Management.
The main focus was on developing their Self Service Portal for API's in which teams can onboard their
own API's. This portal was built using Vue3, .NET8 and Azure Functions. I've upgraded databases using Entity Framework Core,
managed, maintaned and developer build and release pipelines using Bicep and Powershell.
I've joined the Freo team as a member of Iquality Business Solutions, to help maintain and develop the
freo.nl website and it's customer portal (Mijn Freo).
After the decision to move to 3rd party software for the customer portal, the public website (freo.nl) was
rebuilt in Headless Sitecore using Sitecore XM Cloud. I've contributed to setting up the environments,
configuring code-generation, build- and release-scripts and general development.
I've joined Achmea Pensioen & Leven as a Senior Sitecore Developer to help support their Portalen team in building and maintaining their website. I've worked on several Sitecore (JSS) Components, as well as refactoring their legacy code to the Sitecore Helix structure. I've also worked on migrating Sitecore from version 10.0 to 10.1 and 10.1 to 10.2. Furthermore I've pushed the team and the business to focus on improving the Experience Editor, as content should be done by marketeers, and not developers.
I've rejoined theFactor.e for a "best value procurement" project for migrating the website of the RDW from Sitecore 8 to Sitecore 10.1. I've joined the project from the start of development, rebuilding the website from the ground up, based on the current look and feel. The goal of the project is an user-friendly, easily maintainable and future proof Sitecore platform. The project had several audits by Sitecore.
I've rejoined the ENGIE team to help upgrade their current Sitecore 7.2 project to the latest Sitecore 9.3 version.
I've been asked to perform an audit on a website created by Suneco as there were some issues, and they wanted a objective (third party) view of the issue. I've performed some research and created a report with suggestions for improvement.
At Centraal Beheer I've joined the team of Senior Developers to help Centraal Beheer migrate from Sharepoint
to Sitecore. I've worked on the foundation of the site and supported/trained a team of developers in
migrating their components to Sitecore.

Coming back to theFactor.e, I've been working on a component based Sitecore 8 project for one of their
customers. I've been added to the team as an extra resource for a short period of time, so the team was able
to create the new features faster.
Since it was a project I've worked on before, I was up and running in the first day, contributing to the
project immediatly.

The customer had a Visual Basic application which needed expansion. After consulting with the client we've
decided the application should be rebuilt, using newer techniques.
Using C#, MVC 4 and jQuery
I've rebuilt the platform to the customers specifications, constantly looking for new and better solutions
to the customers needs.

I've been working on several component based Sitecore projects for their customers. Having worked with
Sitecore 7 and 8, I've gained a broad knowledge on several aspects of the cms, mainly focusing on developing
a great editor experience.
I've also worked on several webservices using WCF and SOAP for connecting mobile apps to the (Sitecore) web
application.

Working on projects for several clients of Centric with contract lengths varying from two months to over a year, I've worked in different environments. By doing so I've discovered I'm capable of adapting to new surroundings and teams quickly.
For the job site of Wehkamp, Wehkamp Lead front end developer and Expedient colleague Jochem Rebergen (JR Vormgeving),
came to me asking if I could build a Dotnetnuke environment connected to their CRM environment via a
webservice.
